The new MacBook Air shows off a lighter and slimmer appearance design. It measures 11.97 x 8.36 x 0.16-0.61 inches and weighs 2.75 pounds. With three optional colors: silver, gold and space gray, it matches with more personal preferences. Meanwhile, the MacBook Air with Retina display is the first Mac made with 100% recycled aluminum, so the processing lowers 47% carbon emissions compared with previous generation, and the aluminum enclosure delivers the same durability, strength, and sleek finish.
The MacBook Air comes equipped with a 13.3″ Retina display that features IPS technology, 2560 x 1600 resolution, 227 ppi pixel density and 16:10 aspect ratio, so you will get better viewing experience from its sharper images, more vivid colors and the higher resolution. Touch ID has been integrated in the MacBook Air for enhanced security, and you can more conveniently unlock your Mac, make online purchases, instantly authenticate password-protected documents and more.
The MacBook Air with Retina display is powered by 8th generation Intel Core i5 processor with Intel UHD Graphics 617 and has up to 16GB RAM and up to 1.5TB SSD storage so it’s powerful enough to smoothly handle various applications, games and multitasking, and it also provides plenty of room for your numerous digital files.
Moreover, newly designed keyboard features butterfly mechanism that allows for greater comfort and responsiveness, and individual LED-backlit keys with ambient light sensor let you comfortably type in low-light environments.
