The new 9.7-inch iPad measures 9.4 x 6.6 x 0.29 inches and weighs 1.03 pounds, and it’s WiFi+Cellular model weighs 1.05 pounds. As we can see from the images, it’s hard to see any significant change on the appearance. Three optional colors include silver, gold and space gray, but the gold version is a combination of rose gold and gold that are available for previous generations.
Compared with iPad 9.7-inch with A9 chip, the new 9.7-inch iPad is powered by A10 Fusion chip with 64-bit architecture embedded M10 coprocessor, so it’s powerful enough to handle various apps, games and multitasking. The 9.7-inch LED backlit multi-touch display with IPS technology features 2048-by-1536-pixel resolution at 264 ppi. Most importantly, same as all iPad Pro models, the new 9.7-inch iPad seamlessly works with Apple Pencil for unlimited artistic creation and comfortable handwriting experience. Moreover, other features also include 8MP rear camera with 1080p HD video recording, front-facing FaceTime camera, and 10 hours of battery life on a single charge.
