Kodak has announced Kodak Ektra, its first smartphone that focuses on better mobile photography experience. Line the feature? Let’s continue reading.
Appearance design
From the rear, the photography friendly smartphone looks like an ultra compact camera with a leather-like back cover, and the large-size rear camera clearly tells us it’s a photography-first handset. Meanwhile, the bottom is designed as an ergonomic grip that allows you to comfortably hold your Kodak Ektra for stills or video recording. The texturized back and metal enclosure deliver an eye-catching combination of classic fashion and modern aesthetics.
Photography performance
Kodak Ektra features a 21MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture plus built-in optical image stabilization, phase detection auto focus and HDR imaging in order to provide high-quality imaging. The smartphone also supports 4K video recording, and its camera-style control dial lets you switch among multiple modes including smart auto, macro, video, HDR, manual and more just like holding a digital camera.
Smartphone features
Kodak Ektra is powered by Helio X-20 decacore processor and comes with 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM with microSD card slot and 5″ Full HD display, so it’s able to deal with various Android apps, games and multimedia content and has enough capacity to store your photos and videos. Moreover, 13MP front-facing camera is designed for selfies and group photos, and it has 3000mAh rechargeable battery.
Kodak Ektra will be available for £449 (approx US$551) in the U.K. in December this year. If you’re interested, jump to Kodak Ektra official site for its more details.
